Meet Taylor

I’m Taylor Spooner, a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience providing therapy to children, adults & families. I have a deep passion for supporting individuals through the unique challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. My experience working in outpatient mental health settings and in-home with kinship foster families exposed me to the significant challenges families face, particularly in relation to maternal mental health. Through my work, I came to realize the profound impact that maternal mental health has on both the individual and the family unit. This experience highlighted the critical need for greater focus and resources dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of mothers, which is often an overlooked aspect of overall family health. Having walked this journey myself, I understand the rollercoaster of emotions and the unexpected challenges that come with bringing a new life into the world. My own experiences as a mother have strengthened my commitment to helping women find balance and healing during this transformative time.

I believe that every woman deserves to feel supported, understood, and empowered, and my approach is rooted in empathy, warmth, and a non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self. In my practice, I blend evidence-based therapeutic techniques, with a holistic approach that takes into account both the emotional and physical aspects of issues. I am TF-CBT certified and PSI (Postpartum Support International) Trained. I believe that education within the field is extremely important. I make it a priority to attend professional development trainings regularly to stay current in the field and enhance my therapeutic skills. Recently, I’ve begun exploring Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, delving into its techniques and frameworks to deepen my understanding of how to effectively support clients in navigating their inner conflicts and promoting healing.

I truly believe that seeking support is an act of self-love and an essential step toward healing and thriving. Whether you are struggling with feelings of anxiety, sadness, or a sense of loss of your old identity, or if you simply want to strengthen your emotional well-being, I am here to support you as you begin to live your life in full bloom.
